Nigel Kennedy: A Virtuoso Concert Performance

Nigel Kennedy Violin and Piano

Peter Adams  Cello

Alex Dankworth Double Bass

Virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy is marking his 70th birthday by performing his first UK tour in over a decade. This concert has been playing to sell out audiences throughout the UK and  we are delighted that he's making a detour to Chipping Campden.

This is a programme of classical, jazz, and contemporary repertoire from the nation’s greatest living violinist. Breath-taking Bach, alongside the most delicate rendition you will ever hear of ‘A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square’. Nigel will play his  own compositions,  inspired by including a poignant tribute to Yehudi Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli, who taught, mentored and inspired him in his early years.  Accompanied by his great friends Alec Dankworth (son of the late John Dankworth and Cleo Laine) on double bass and Peter Adams on cello, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of the greatest virtuoso musicians this country has ever produced.
